Era of space tourism is coming

Until not so long ago, space traveling was a thing known only to
scientists and astronauts. Ordinary people could only dream about
flying on a space ship. Happily, the situation is totally different
now. It’s absolutely real for you to fly into Universe and to observe
our planet from distance of thousands miles.

Dennis Tito, US based multi-millionaire became the first paying space
tourist in history. He paid $20 million for his ticket to a Russian
Soyuz capsule launched by an American company Space Adventures Ltd.
This flight took place on April 28, 2001 Dennis spent 7 days aboard the International Space Station.
A year after, in 2002, Mark Shuttle, millionaire from South Africa,
became the second space tourist. He also paid $20 million for his
space adventure. Mark spent 8 days on the ISS.
Anousheh Ansari became the first lady who had bought a ticket into
space. She’d become a part of space tourism history already 10 years
 ago.

Although the cost of space tourism is quite high, it has not deterred
enthusiasts from undertaking it. Space Adventures Ltd has a long
waiting list of future space tourists.
Space tourism has been described like a “game for the rich”. But if
demand will grow up, price of “ticket to Universe” will come down. It
seems that even middle class space dreamers may soon be able to buy a
 ticket.
Last news about “personal spaceflights” sound even more exciting.
The European Space agency had published a plan to build outpost on the
moon. This “moon village,” will be a product of international
collaboration between spacefaring nations. Moon village could become a
place for science, business and even tourism. European Space agency
calls the moon as the logical destination for humans beyond low Earth
orbit. Utilizing Earth’s neighbor should open the way for human
 missions to Mars.
