Gifto Weekly Update- May 30, 2018

Branding, branding, branding!

We’ve made huge progress in the past few months towards opening up the Gifto token to millions of users in Uplive. But one area we’ve made less progress on is our branding and marketing.

U.G.P.: Great for crypto-geeks, but for the next billion crypto-holders, not so much…

This week and going forward, we will be putting much more effort into our branding, including refreshes of gifto.io, Youtube, Facebook, Github, LinkedIn, and many other places online where our brand lives. You’ll see big positive changes to how we share with the world how our milestones truly set us apart from other more “theoretical” blockchain projects, and more on our longer-term vision.

You, our community, have been reminding us of this lately and we want you to know we are listening and will finally be able to show some progress on this soon.

To show we’re serious about building the Gifto brand, we’re shaking things up a bit and asking for your feedback on a new tagline to replace, “Universal Gifting Protocol”. This tagline has served us well during these early days of crypto industry, but as we seek to become more accessible to users new to cryptocurrencies, will need something more approachable and FUN!

Towards 500,000 GTO wallets

We have a little over one more day to complete our goal of having 500,000 Gifto wallets on-chain and off-chain. Our team is working hard to open up wallets in a safe and secure way and still hit our ambitious goal by the deadline, and we look forward to being able to report on this very soon.

New exchange listing: Bittrex

Last Thursday we were listed on the well-known, high-volume Bittrex exchange, making Gifto available to even more users. We’ll continue to evaluate new exchanges to be listed on.

Gifto Will be Widely Distributed in the Virtual Interactive Entertainment Industry

Virtual gifting is just an entry point for Gifto. As the company builds multiple interactive entertainment business models, Gifto will become fully integrated into various initiatives to help GTO become the largest application in the content and entertainment industry.

Gifto Forever Rose Project Featured in the South China Morning Post

In an article covering new, hi-tech mediums for art, Kevin Abosch and Gifto were featured for using blockchain technology to create a virtual proxy of a photograph. The Forever Rose is an ERC 20 token called ROSE on the Ethereum blockchain. This piece has generated a lot of controversy in the art space given that the piece doesn’t physically exist, but rather is stored securely in the blockchain.

GIFTO Featured in E-Daily’s Coin-vs.-Coin Alongside Loom Network

Korea’s E-daily, one of the country’s largest business news portals, posted a video comparing GIFTO and Loom Network, noting GIFTO’s strength in being integrated in an existing popular consumer product. The video also praised GIFTO’s access to various exchanges and increasing community interest in it.
