Going for Mass Usage

Gifto + Fiat

After achieving our goals of 1 million wallet users, adding Gifto into Uplive, and completing our universal gifting dashboard, we are now focused on driving Gifto usage and making it easier to acquire for users. We are actively developing fiat purchase of Gifto in-app and on Gifto.io, and aim to achieve this by the end of September with at least one major global currency. This is a big step forward in our vision to become a mass-use token, and required significant technical investment in anti-fraud and regulatory compliance tools, which we can re-use for other markets, currencies and payment providers. After this first currency is integrated, it will be easier each time. We are also applying for fiat trading on Bittrex’s newly launched fiat platform.

Besides direct fiat top-up, we are in parallel investigating making crypto-to-GTO acquisition easier on our platform, and are specifically actively investigating an integration with Kyber

Gifto wallet UI/UX improvements

In the latest version of the Gifto wallet we improved the user experience across the board, including quick access to several crypto exchanges. In the future, Kyber integration is a promising approach to converting ETH to GTO in Giftomon. Currently we are purchasing GTO from the market and converting it for users who pay with ETH and Kyber will be integrated when ready.

Broadcaster and Social Media Influencer Education

In a new initiative to educate broadcasters and social media stars about Gifto, we created a telegram group chat for content creators. In the group we discuss the benefits of using Gifto and teach users how to obtain GTO. We are also working with agencies to educate talent on how to use Gifto. Already we see great excitement among broadcasters receiving gifts:

Coin-Up TV

Coin-UP TV will be a dedicated platform for crypto content and media, based on the Uplive livestreaming tech and Universal Gifting dashboards. Come for analysis of the markets, interviews with leading industry figures such as Andy Tian of Gifto and CZ of Binance, and exclusive behind-the-scenes live streams during major crypto conferences. Gifto wants to bring all of the crypto content creators together on one central platform where users can easily flip between channels and video feeds to learn about cryptocurrency and the blockchain industry’s latest updates. CoinUp TV’s new web features will include a scoreboard and ranking for the most popular videos based on the amount virtual gifts awarded to streamers. We see this is a targeted application of the Gifto original whitepaper vision to reward content creators directly with crypto.

We’re already seeing strong interest in CoinUp content — last week we ran a test of a livestreaming event called CoinUP Trivia, the first-ever live mobile phone game show where you can win cryptocurrency! Last week, Gifto hosted its first episode and a prize of 10,000 GTO was split among 81 talented crypto gurus! Gifto will be in L.A., August 10–12, to partake in KCON 2018, the largest K-pop festival in the world with over 100,000 participants. Many K-pop celebrities, social media influencers, and Uplive streamers will be coming to our booth to meet with the Uplive team and Dylan Park, the Head of Gifto Korea. This is part of our grassroots effort to popularize Gifto with content creators, and our goal at this concert is to educate KOLs on the benefits of Gifto and to establish long-term relationships with the stars to make our Gifto vision come true. We are excited to work with celebrities and to get them to own, hold and experience cryptocurrency for the first time.

New Business Partnerships

This week, Gifto announced its new partnership with PIBBLE to expand consumer usage of GTO. PIBBLE has strong ties to Korea’s entertainment, K-pop and K-drama and movie industries. Gifto is looking to collaborate with PIBBLE to further GTO usage within the entertainment space. Meanwhile, Gifto is about to sign yet another mega size partnership with a renown mass consumer company based in Korea, which is listed on KOSDAQ exchange. The announcement will be made in August.
