I genrally agree with your point of view with the note that early stage companies do not really need a board of directors. At early stage entreprnoures should focus on reaching the minimum viable product stage asap as well as focus on proving the demand to their product and mainly understand how are they going to build a great company. Once the company expands and attracts institutional money the CEO <> BOD relationships are becoming more relvant.
