Kratingdaeng and Red Bull are different in terms of name and target market. But there’s an interesting story behind why their logos are identical.

Yes, in fact, Kratingdaeng is the parent company of Red Bull.

Kratingdaeng was founded in Thailand in 1976 by Chaleo Yoovidhya.

Then, in 1982, someone from Austria named Dietrich Mateschitz went to Thailand and tried this drink, and he liked it.

He decided to collaborate with the Kratingdaeng producer to create a formula for the drink that would suit the taste of Europeans. In 1987, Red Bull was released in Europe and became a global sensation.

The success of Red Bull is closely tied to their target market.

They focus on marketing the product to sports enthusiasts and aim at the lifestyle of young people, while Kratingdaeng is more popular among blue-collar workers.

Red Bull is also frequently a sponsor of extreme sports events, which brings more attention to their brand. One notable example is this world record.
