Stories of Epilepsy

One morning I awoke to an overly concerned mother and agonising pains in both shoulders, my seizures over time went through phases in terms of what parts of my body they would effect.

That morning I have very little memory of, apparently the same morning I had taken four wholesome fits within a matter of two hours which brought me to a state of exhaustion. At the time I had no idea about what happened so I was wondering what all the fuss was about.

My mum taxi’d me down to the local A&E, which incidentally is now under threat of closure, where the doc on duty at the time completed an inspection of me in general, giving me a good shake and offering up some water for some rehydration, I also discovered that a quality chocolate bar had a good effect post seizure. During inspection I gradually felt more and more positive and happy, excited by all the attention and fuss!

A bizarre and painful experience, and a good example of how unsettling these sort of occasions can be.
