This is a sideline question to the main focus of your article, so apologies for that… but is the lack of diversity in the books from the author or the reader’s mind?

It has been an age since I read the series, so I can’t remember how many characters, aside from the red-haired Weasleys and Harry had descriptions of how they looked (and for that matter their religion). Maybe the issue is in the mind of those reading?
