Design thinking: An over-promise under delivered

Design is not a new vocation but one that has existed for as long as human started making things. In our modern times, particularly in the software/high tech industry, we often think of design only in the digital realm when its influence can be far more extensive. As designers, we solve problems. What makes us different than developers is that we solve problems for people, with people. Being able to comprehend human conditions and to see positive alternatives is an important skill possessed by designers. As a designer, I’m excited to apply my ability to understand and connect things, and translate abstract concepts to communicate to a broader audience in different domains. I love technology but I don’t think it is the only medium where I can apply my design skills.
