Ivanha, I feel for you so much! I run a social media marketing company from home, as well as freelance write. I make exactly as much as my husband, and he is a former entrepreneur so he has the exact idea of what my workdays look like, and how hyper-focused I am throughout the day to get everything done.
But I definitely have family members who must think I just sit around watching Netflix with a finger up my butt. Because apparently money falls from the sky?
Oh, and nevermind that if I don’t work I don’t get paid.
I feel your struggle on this. I still putter around the house and do plenty of house work, because I happen to be home. My breaks aren’t really breaks. I clean the kitchen or walk the dog, etc. etc. I also take our food for dinner.
But I’m happy to do that to a point, because that means when my husband is home we can spend that time together (we’re newlyweds, so this is a biggie for us!)
You’re in good company. Always here to lament with you if needed!
Your work is important and valuable, and in no way should be belittled at all!
