Very interesting indeed, Unfortunately some points in their policy make me question the entire privacy issue. Examples:

  • «The Service may contain links to websites operated by other parties. The Company provides these links to other websites as a convenience, and use of these websites is at your own risk» – [why providing links which I didn’t ask to third parties? How different is this from advertising?]
  • «The Company may in its sole discretion block, prevent delivery of or otherwise remove the content of communications» – [this implies that the company does have access to content]
  • «With respect to such Submitted Content, you grant the Company a worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up and non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and display such Submitted Content» – [again, this means the company has access to content and, furthermore, can publish and distribute it?]
  • «the Company does not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to Submitted Content» – [uh?]
  • «Using the Service to communicate by chat, our servers store the content of your chat conversation» – [more proof that content remains on the company’s servers and this means the company can decrypt the messages]
  • «Protection of rights. We will use, access and share personal information, including the content of your chat conversations and other Communications Information, if we have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation and legal process or to enforce the Terms Of Use.» – [again, this implies content is storedand unencrypted by the company on their servers]
