GIN Platform Product Update

The GIN Platform was created with a sole purpose in mind (and at heart): to “democratise the way masternodes are created”. If the original structure was designed following the findings of a thorough crypto-market research, all the changes that followed were the result of first-hand interaction with the crypto-community.

The following change is from the latter category as well. And you’re going to love it. Starting today, October 26th, 2018, the GIN Platform’s infrastructure core will feature two options: Dedicated Node (current model) and Cloud Node.

Cloud Node*

The price of this service will be $4.5 per month ($0.15 per day)*. Its main characteristic is that masternodes launched under this option will be hosted alongside other masternodes on the same server, sharing the same IP. It was designed to support projects whose masternodes generate smaller rewards than the hosting price.

As with any new feature, we appreciate any feedback we receive. The support team members (and the entire GIN team, really) are all set to help with any questions that might appear.

*This service will not be available for DASH, PIVX, ZEN, and ANON.

Dedicated Node

The platform will maintain its original option as well, only adjusted to the financial changes that the billing component brings about. This Premium service will cost $12.6 per month ($0.42 per day)* and will continue to work on a dedicated server type of structure — one masternode per server.

Your masternode, your choice

Every user will be able to choose the preferred product at any moment. This will be made possible through the implementation of two buttons in the Dashboard: an Upgrade button, and a Downgrade one. It’s very important to mention that choosing to Upgrade or Downgrade will trigger a setup process, since it basically means creating a new server for your masternode. At that point, you need to have access to your wallet, as you will be asked to modify the masternode.conf file. The newly created server will have all the details of the old one, just a different IP.

As usual, the team reserved a buffer time to make sure everything is running properly, so these buttons will be visible on the platform only 24h after going live with the pricing changes.

Discounts Policy

Starting November, details about volume and commitment discounts will be available. We have some pretty neat ideas regarding this endeavour… and that’s pretty much all we can disclose at the moment.

Billing Kickoff

On the 31st of October, the GIN Platform will issue the first invoices and send them on the 1st of November.

In addition to everything stated above, the Terms & Conditions on the platform have been updated to reflect these financial changes — you will be asked to agree to them one more time.

We promised to be coin agnostic and to make it easier for people to manage their masternodes. The tiered infrastructure is just the latest iteration on that promise. So come join us. There’s nothing stopping you anymore.

*All prices exclude VAT.

Coin updates

The latest coins added on the platform are:
