I’ve spoken often lately of an observation I read some time ago, that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s message would have remained easy for the white establishment of the era to ignore if Malcolm X and the Black Power movement hadn’t simultaneously been scaring the crap out of them.
I think it behooves us to have a faction focused on conciliatory outreach toward those who were sincerely duped by Trump’s con, without censoring any of the other voices among us.
