James 4-takeaway

Those who rebel against God are worldly. James 4:4–5: “Ye adulterers…know ye not that the friendship of the world is emnity with God? Do ye think the scripture saith in vain, the spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? …

Thank the Lord, He has a plan to save us if we are willing. James 4:6–7 “…God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.

James also taught us that we should not be smug in saying what we shall do or will do in the future. We do not know what tomorrow will bring. So we should say “Lord willing” or “if the Lord wills”. We need to trust God in planning our futures….and trust Him with our future.
