I agree with everything you’ve said Sarah and it’s a wrenching, heart rending situation. But despite intervention, trips to rehab and more trips to rehab, it’s still not a piece of cake to get off the killer drug. No, I’’ve never taken any drugs so I don’t know first hand the feelings, the “highs” or whatever you want to classify it as. I do have someone very close who is hooked and has been in rehab more times than I care to recall. It’s the parent’s wallet subsidizing this venture and hope and prayers which just don’t seem to work. I don’t know if the commitment is strong enough to kick it, but I pray every nght and every day that the magic ending happens and this young person becomes firm enough strong enough and smart enough to just say NO.
