That article is fantastic. The Gatsby comparison is a stretch — Trump as playing at Gatsby while really being Tom Buchanan, with the unattainable love Daisy being New York City. But in reaching across so many comparisons — to the Godfather, robber barons, Manchurian Candidate etc — I think the overall point is that the reality of Trump is so fantastical that no single work of fiction can adequately capture the improbability and absurdity of the whole thing.
