Boryspil’, Ukraine – Denys Borysovych Kireev was born on 1 January 1977 in Kyiv, where he grew up and studied until graduating in marketing and management at the end of the 1990s. Having specialized in finance in Amsterdam, he soon became responsible for currency operations at Bank Credit Lyonnais Ukraine. Then, he landed at JSC Oschadbank, where he was vice-president of the board of directors until 2014.

In 2016, the then-head of the institute, Andrij Pishnij, accused him of fraud. In 2020, he was the subject of criminal proceedings opened against him by Ukraine's security service…
