My Disgusting State Representative is Sponsoring a Disgusting Bill Called “Blue Lives Matter”

I believe my PA-10 Representative, Tom Marino, is a terrible representative. I’ve seen his signature scrawled on huge debacles costing the taxpayers millions. Without going too deeply into my local politics here, I think he’s a piece of shit as far as good governance goes.

But oh! Today he revealed he’s sponsoring the worst bill I’ve seen in a long time, taking a massive dump on humanity:

Not only is this bill wildly unconstitutional, cops are not a vulnerable minority. Trying to extend to them the same protections we reserve for vulnerable minorities is hugely disrespectful to vulnerable minorities who are quite commonly shot dead by the cops.

By the same erroneous logic, do we extend the same protections to postal workers? Teachers? Welfare administrators? Why not? They are also agents of the State who are often at risk in the line of duty. I think until this bill protects all government employees, this haphazard coverage seems politically cloying, don’t you think, Tom? Perhaps transparently so?
