3) We are often eating to cover up an emotion that we don’t want to feel. It feels safer in the moment to allow ourselves to eat that food instead of asking ourselves, “what am I really craving in this moment”?

WHY THIS TECHNIQUE WORKS!

EFT Tapping works with our emotional regulatory centre in the brain, the amygdala and interrupts the biological stress response. By tapping you are directly working with the emotional regulatory centre in the brain that is responsible for acting out in cravings! Through tapping, you are communicating DIRECTLY to this part of the brain and your nervous system and interrupts the stress response. This stress response is activated by having this “craving”. By interrupting the stress response through tapping, you are able to tell your brain “I am safe, I am calm, I am ok” and when that occurs, you will see how instantly you don’t want to eat that food anymore.
