For as long as she can remember Millie has had her limits. Staying within them keeps her isolated, safe; helps her to cope. Why then have they started to feel so stifling? Why is her loneliness starting to rival her fears?
When she watches him she wishes she could be normal; she wishes she could be like the people he interacts with so seamlessly. Pavlos Martakis is her complete and total opposite: physically intimidating, likable, naturally attractive, extremely confident, sexually promiscuous: the most uninhibited, charming, outgoing and free person she has ever encountered in her life. He fascinates Millie; thrills and intimidates he

Title: Relatable charcters
Date: Reviewed in the United States šŗšø on October 26, 2022
Review: I love Mellie, and her quiet strength in overcoming anxiety and trauma. Her growth is realistic and relatable to those of us who have also had cognitive behavior therapy, learning to rewrite the scripts in our head, realizing we deserve happiness, and reaching beyond our limits.
Pav is also a great character who learns to see what life is like for people who arenāt as neurotypical as himself, and he becomes a better person.

Review: The blurb doesnāt do it justice. This sexy, sweet story is one of the best books Iāve read this year and I read a lot. I laughed, I cried, I swooned. Iāll definitely be reading more from this author.

Title: Review from a woman on the Spectrum

Review: This was the most beautiful story I have ever read, and I have read thousands of stories. I doubt I will ever find the words to express my profound sadness of not being able to communicate with others or develop friendships throughout my lifeā¦ Always playing alone as a child and now as an adult still not able to speak to others normally. I have never read a story that touched me so deeply and filled me with such hope that maybe one day I will find my own people who love and understand me as Camilla (the main character) did. she seemed so misunderstood and it hurt her so deeply until Pav came along and saw her for who she truly was. Fortunately, I have my own man who saw me, Justin my very best friend and father to my two beautiful children. I hope I find friends who will become family such as Millie did, but until that day, this magnificent story will stay in my heart forever, and give me hope that being normal is overrated. Props to the Author Suzie Tate for making writing an art form that can impact lives!

Title: 5 heartwarming stars :)
Date: Reviewed in the United States šŗšø on April 5, 2018
Review: This is an absolutely beautiful contemporary romanceā¦ technically, itās connected to another novel by this author, but it works perfectly fine as a complete standaloneā¦ yes, we met the main couple from this story in āBeg, borrow or stealā and yes, the main couple from that story appears in this novelā¦ and yes, we have the same secondary characters appear as well, but you donāt need that previous knowledge to enjoy this one, everything you need to know is explained :) so let me tell you a bit more about why you need this gem in your hands, starting with our heroine and hero :)
Like I mentioned, we met both Millie and Pav beforeā¦ Millie is a radiologistā¦ at least I think thatās the simplified version of her job titleā¦ Pav isā¦ I wanna say head of surgeryā¦? Iām not sure exactly, the detail slipped my mind :) she suffers from several issues, one of them being anxiety, and quite severe oneā¦ I donāt want to get into any more details about that situation, because sharing them would spoil you a lot of thingsā¦ the more we get into the book, the more we learn about what exactly she struggles with and whyā¦ all I will say is that I relate to her very muchā¦ not because of the issues sheās facing, but because of the way she is missunderstood by othersā¦ I know how it feels when you want to do one thing, or say one thing, but before you are able to find the right words, people form an opinion about youā¦ Millie is perceived as cold and distant by others at workā¦ she and Pav are working at the same hospital, by the wayā¦ :) and those are the nice adjectives people use when taking about herā¦ and I justā¦ I wanted to hug her sooo badly while I was reading this storyā¦ and yes, I know sheās just a fictional character, but she felt so realā¦ and so very close to my heart that I just couldnāt help myself :) Pav on the other handā¦ talk about night and day ;) heās open, talkative and charmingā¦ apparently people canāt help but like him ;) donāt worry, heās not perfect ;) theirs is a very complicated path to actually being togetherā¦ I donāt really want to tell you too much, because nothing specific is shared in the synopsis of the story, and trust meā¦ itās so much better this wayā¦ the less you know the better the experience will be :)
This story really hit me in all the feelsā¦ all of themā¦ I laughedā¦ I criedā¦ I sighed in delightā¦ honestly, I have no words good enough to describe how much I adored itā¦ the writing style was absolutely phenomenalā¦ it hooked me in from the very beginning and I just couldnāt stop readingā¦ I fell in love with the charactersā¦ very complex and flawed they felt so realā¦ I really liked the appearances of people I remembered from the previous book, but again, you will enjoy those scenes even if you are not familiar with that other novel :) and if all that wasnāt enough, this whole story takes place over the span of several monthsā¦ with the ending happening even more in the futureā¦ and an absolute cherry-on-top epilogue set several years laterā¦ *sighs happily* I love those kind of epilogues the mostā¦ ;) say what you want, but personally, slow-burn romances are my favourite :) sometimes they start with a friendshipā¦ sometimes with this flirtatious version of friendship, but I like it, when that build to something more takes timeā¦ itās especially important in stories like this oneā¦ to realistically show how long it would take Millie to deal, or at least start dealing better, with her issuesā¦ I love that itās not one of those change-in-a-snap-of-fingers situations, because that would be just ridiculousā¦ I think that Susie Tate really did justice with Mille and her strugglesā¦ how she slowly overcomes them and changes for the better, living more and more outside of her limits :) I wholeheartedly recommend you all to give this beautiful gem a tryā¦ I cannot wait to read more from this author, to see what other beautiful stories she haveā¦ and a bonus info at the very endā¦ Kira is getting her own novelā¦ probably later this year :) *squeels with joy* <- you will understand this reaction once you read the bookā¦ or if you read the previous oneā¦ I am sooo ready for her happy endingā¦ ;)

Title: Would be five stars
Date: Reviewed in the United States šŗšø on August 27, 2022
Review: If not for the (intrusive), long (parenthetical asides) that begin about ā
through an otherwise well-written book. One or two, okay, but no, there are paragraphs of these. Had they been featured earlier, Iād have quit the book.
As the story is told from several POVs, It would be simple to replace them with the thoughts they are meant to be.
This author is new to me and until this (technique?) made its late appearance, I was eagerly anticipating a new catalog to explore. I will try some other books, but if inner thoughts are presented as asides, I wonāt be back.

Review: Amazing story. My husband and most of our kids suffer from social anxiety. This story does a great job of showing how oneās environment can have such an impact on the ability to deal with it.

Title: accurate social anxiety
Date: Reviewed in the United States šŗšø on October 5, 2022
Review: Iāve been looking for a book that portrays anxiety. And the fears and thoughts of the FMC were 100% my own experiences with social anxiety, shutting down, and efforts to run away, hide, etc. well written and great story.
