Give Lively has acquired tinyGive!
tinyGive has joined the Give Lively family of products. Read along to learn more about the acquisition and what it means.
Today, we’re happy to announce a new front in our mission to help you give better.
As an incubator of digital products for social good, our goal is to create technology that makes giving a more regular and rewarding part of your everyday life. Our current suite of products, Small Token and SwearJar, are consumer-friendly tools that help further this goal: Small Token lets you celebrate another person on important occasions throughout the year by easily donating to a nonprofit on their behalf. SwearJar (beta) inserts social good into the workplace by automatically converting colorful language in your team’s chat into small donations to nonprofits. With tinyGive, we found a natural fit in the context of these products — allowing you to make a donation to a cause you care about as simply as sending a tweet.
For donors, tinyGive makes it easy to give as little as $1 to a worthy nonprofit while also being able to recruit and enlist your peers to do the same. For nonprofits, tinyGive provides state-of-the-art tools that would allow nonprofits to meet their donors and future supporters in places where conversations are already happening. In the same way that Twitter was beginning to democratize voice, tinyGive wants to democratize giving. At Give Lively, we share a vision of making philanthropy accessible to everyone. Our acquisition of tinyGive will leverage its Twitter technology to further this work.
We are inspired by the opportunity to welcome tinyGive’s users and it’s many nonprofit partners to the Give Lively fold. We’re also delighted that Clarence Wardell and Karan Jain, tinyGive’s founders, will join us as advisors. We’re eager to learn from their deep knowledge of this space. We’re excited to help shape the future of giving and impact peoples lives for the better. Join us!
