Intersecting My Interests ‘AI & ART’
Art has always been an expression of human creativity, but with the advancements in machine learning and neural networks, we now have a new form of art — ‘AI-generated art’. Creating AI art has become a popular trend in recent years, with artists and tech enthusiasts exploring the possibilities of machine-generated creativity.
As Nathaniel Parson defines AI-generated art as a “new frontier of creative expression”. With the help of deep learning and neural networks, AI can create unique and creative artworks that are impossible to produce manually.
Lucy Ingham’s article “AI and Art: The Rise of Algorithmic Creativity” explores how artists are using algorithms and machine learning to create unique pieces of art. The article discusses the implications of AI-generated art and the potential impact it could have on the art world.
If you’re looking to create your own AI art piece, the first step is to choose your AI tool. There are several AI tools available that can help you generate artwork, such as DeepDream, NeuralStyler, and Artisto. You can also use TensorFlow.js, a JavaScript library for machine learning in the browser. Choose the tool that best suits your needs and abilities.
The next step is to choose your input image or some keywords that describe your imagination of output. My description was “modern style, nature with a cream background, green and orange tones with flowers and plants.
After you’ve chosen your input image, you can choose your art style. Vincent Berthelier’s article “How AI is Revolutionizing the Art of Painting” explains that the AI tool you choose will have a variety of art styles to choose from. These styles can range from impressionism to cubism to surrealism. Choose the style that best suits your taste and the image you have chosen.
Once you have chosen your input image and art style, you can generate your AI artwork. Depending on the AI tool you have chosen, the process may vary. Some tools may require you to tweak certain parameters to achieve the desired output. Experiment with different settings until you are happy with the result. You can see my results :).
Now that you’ve generated your AI artwork, you can print it out and use it as a canvas for a physical painting. Jaya Narain’s article “Visualizing Data with AI: Techniques and Applications” explains that you can print it at home or use a professional printing service. Be sure to choose a high-quality print that captures the details and colors of your artwork. I also shared the one that I liked and chose to paint it.
In conclusion, creating AI art is a fun and exciting way to explore your creativity and push the boundaries of what is possible. AI is changing the way we think about and create art. By following these steps, you can create your unique artwork that blends the power of AI with the beauty of the traditional painting. Follow me to see my painting process. J
