A fascinating article, JoAnne! I have never been to Trinidad, but it sounds very familiar. My wife is from Guam, and we go back there often. Her people are friendly, too, and their island life with their beaches and tropical fruits seem to be similar to the Trinidadians. Guamanians hang out in public places, too. They just don't call it liming. Sure, there are some differences, but I believe there are more similarities between the two islands. Maybe I'll write an article about this in Globetrotters someday!
