I just wanted to start off by taking time to say hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It is one of my favorite times of year because we are able to gather with family and friends for the holidays. Thanksgiving, not only brings great food but the laughter and joy of family and friends. I think it is nice to have a healthy break from school to just rela. It does kinda suck that some other schools have a fall break and we do not. For those who are interested though there is a petition going on to include one during the school year. I agree with a lot of students that it would not only be a good time for a break in the beginning of the school year, but a time to be able to relax and de stress a little bit while still getting the hang of things. On the other hand, not to complain too much it was nice to be able to go home and not worry about school for a few days. It was great not having to eat the dorm food and being stuck in a tiny little dorm for a majority of this week. It is kinda scary going back next week as it will be December on Tuesday!!!! Where has time gone we are already almost 1/2 done with our freshman year of college. I really cannot believe it, sometimes it feels like we just started and other times it feels like where has time gone. From the first day when we were just moving in with many people not knowing anyone or how they would even be able to get to their first classes. To all the connections we have made, friends we have encountered, and memories that will stick with us for a lifetime. I would not trade it for the world and I am very thankful for the opportunity.

Sometimes I think we forget to be thankful for the little things that we take for granted in life. The opportunity for an education, in some countries there are thousands of students who wish they even had the access to go to school and the opportunities that we have. Even the freedom to be able to study whatever we want at such a huge university giving everyone the opportunity to really find their way. I think of courageous people like Malala who had to fight for her right as not only a girl but a student of color who wanted nothing more than her right to an education. She endured so much for it and was even shot; however, she has never stopped working towards her goal. It has now become an international movement that she is working on.

To sum things up I will end by talking about what I am thinking for final plans for my project. It really got me thinking how fast time really is going as we were talking about how everything is starting to come to an end this semester. I like that we have many different options on how we can end our final project this semester. To be honest, I never actually thought I would enjoy blogging or writing about my experiences, however, it has come to be something that has come easy and enjoyable to me. It gives me the opportunity to put all my ideas from my head on paper and really get them all out. And that is why I think that is what I will be doing for my final project. Really taking the time and detail to go into depth at what I have been looking at for various weeks. To put it all together will be a very exciting and time consuming project but very worth it in the end. I’m really looking forward to seeing the final project come together.

Until next time :)
