A glimpse into the life of Grace Ko.

Part 1: Story of my Life in 100 Words

Sun shining, trees swaying to the sound of chirping birds, beautiful array of flowers, soft green grass surrounding a tiny baby.

Nature is my second home. Crawling, learning to stand, walking punching, kicking. Too much energy, couldn’t sit still, always causing trouble.

Such an aggressive toddler. Loved nature, loved destroying things, couldn’t contain all my energy. Time flies by, already first day of middle school then high school.

Not enough time to relive childhood. Tackled with schoolwork, tests, stress.

I’m still a child. Still have time to have fun, be immature, be a toddler again. Memories will always last forever.

Part 3: Music That Moves Me

This song has been my favorite ever since I listened to it on the radio because of its meaningful lyrics containing deep emotions and personal stories of the artist. The song taught me the importance of inner beauty, emphasizing on not changing yourself because of society. It lets us know that being proud of who you are and having self confidence is key. The lyrics also touch on the topic of racism and injustice to a specific race which is still very relevant in today’s society.

Part 7: A Quote I Live By

“Identity is a prison you can never escape, but the way to redeem your past is not to run from it, but to try to understand it and use it as a foundation to grow.”- Jay Z
