A Look Back on Our First-Ever San Antonio Transportation Game Night

On March 21st, civic and transportation enthusiasts of the San Antonio-Austin region joined Glasshouse Policy, The Rivard Report and LOOP in San Antonio for our first-ever Regional Happy Hour & Transportation Game Night. The goal in creating this event was to bring regional policy makers and their constituents together to discuss how to responsibly plan for the immense growth the region continues to see. San Antonio and Austin policy makers met with residents to discuss the future of the region and hear their vision for smart and sustainable growth within their own neighborhoods. Attendees were assigned a mode of transportation and worked in teams to design their ideal street. A panel of judges selected the winning group, which had a vision to significantly expand transit access along key San Antonio corridors.

After the event, we surveyed attendees to find out what they learned. We discovered that the majority of participants wish to continue learning about the issue and have a desire to get involved locally moving forward:
