TAUHQ Block Explorer

TAUHQ is the primary block explorer for Lamden where you can view all transactions, contracts, tokens, and a wealth of other information about the Lamden network.

TAU Token Stats

  • Maximum Supply: 288 million
  • Total Supply: 248 million (40 million were burned)
  • Circulating Supply: around 170 million
  • Mainnet launch: September 16, 2020 which coincided with a token swap

Transaction Fees

Transaction fees can be adjusted by future governance. Currently 1 TAU = 169 stamps. Each type of transaction varies in the amount of stamps used (the more complex the transaction, the greater number of stamps used). The resulting transaction fees are then distributed accordingly (viewable within the Lamden Vault wallet -> Network Dashboard tab):

  • Masternode: 8%
  • Burned: 1%
  • Lamden Foundation: 1%
  • Developer: 90%

Transactions Per Second (TPS)

Transactions per second is always an interesting stat that can be misleading if lacking context. We prefer being realistic about the scalability of the Lamden blockchain so recommend reading our Medium article which details how Lamden benefits from high throughput and low latency.

A simplified explanation is that each CPU core has a 3,000 max TPS. So as an example, if the masternodes scale to 4 cores, the network would then have a 3,000 * 4 = 12,000 max TPS. In other words — long story short — the network can easily and quickly scale to support future growth!

Token Allocations

At the time of ICO in 2018, there were 288,090,567 tokens minted.

  • 62.2 million allocated to Lamden Labs (10% vesting per year — fully vested as of mainnet). These tokens are used to help fund community projects and further build out the Lamden ecosystem.
  • 48.8 million allocated to the core team (was fully vested after 2 years)
  • 177 million to public members (40 million unswapped tokens burned in September 2021)

Stable Coins

You have a few options:

  • Lamden USDLamden uses $LUSD as a container asset to hold stable coins from other blockchains. This allows ultimate flexibility for end-users who can bridge major stable coins to Lamden as $LUSD, then exit Lamden to mint a stable in the users’ chosen stable coin. This is currently limited to BEP20 $BUSD (was previously $USDT and $USDC), but more stables may follow in time.
  • Rubix — is a platform where users can use collateral to issue the TAU Algo Dollar (TAD). The project was inspired by the Maker DAO protocol. The website can be found here, pre-release article with the team here, and opportunity to whitelist here.
