All white people acknowledge racism. But just because you acknowledge racism doesn't mean you will vote Democrat or make “ending racism” your life’s work.
Some people respond with the Real Racism (sorry, I don’t know how to make the trademark logo) argument, but the point is not “there is no racism.” The point is that the more we talk about it, the more we get distracted from real issues.
White people taking out tens of thousands of dollars in student loans for worthless degrees and other white people refusing to adapt to a rapidly advancing world are bigger problems for white people than anti-white racism.
Gang violence, fatherlessness, and a fixation on racism are bigger problems for black people than anti-black racism.
When you overlook the real issues people are facing and instead draw attention to a problem that is inevitable in a multi-ethnic society and has never been overcome anywhere in the world, it’s appropriate to say that racism is not a real issue.
It’s only an issue when there is proof of individual examples that we can actually address. Someone’s not allowing blacks into their store? Tell everyone, and don’t go to their store. Someone refuses to hire Hispanics? Don’t work for that employer.
