From tomorrow to today: Futurist Gerd Leonhard’s latest news and links — Issue #17
Greetings everyone, there’s only one brief message today: my new film “Technology vs Humanity — the future is already here” is finally online! The movie is less than 6 minutes long and presents the key themes from my new book, Technology vs Humanity, in a visually pretty stunning setting (Barcelona). There are probably few better ways to quickly tune into the #1 topic for the next decade: how humanity will relate to technology (and vice versa).
We are, btw, gearing up to produce a longer docu-fiction production on this topic, in the fall, so if any of you is interested in helping with that please ping me anytime.
Thanks for your time and I hope you enjoy this short film — please share it widely if you like it.
Kind regards from Zürich
I am delighted to present this exciting new film on the key topics of my recent Technology vs Humanity book. We shot this film in one of my favourite cities, Barcelona, earlier this year, and some of the footage is really special I think. The light and the land/city-scape is just amazing, and my producer / art director Jean Francois Cardella did an amazing job capturing it.
If I may say so myself the core messages from my book such as ‘embrace technology but don’t become it, humanity will change more in the next 20 years than the previous 300 years’ are presented succinctly and artfully so… don’t miss this one!
You can also watch it directly on Youtube or download the MP4 file via my public Google Drive; re-use is expressly allowed and encouraged under the usual creative commons attribution non-commercial license.
I will resume my regular ‘juicy-links and best finds’-coverage in the next issue. In the meantime, if you’re desperately looking for stuff to read visit my GerdFeed.com micro-site or follow me on Twitter.
Kind regards from Switzerland and thanks for tuning in!
