Think Small & Positive.

Understand that mentality has to with everything
The way you breathe.
Leading to the way you walk (posture).
Eventually leading up to the way how you perceive situations.

Instead of focusing on negative thoughts, try reinforcing the positive side from a bad situation.

you’re probably sitting here thinking,

“Oh great, are you telling that I should sit here and tell you how wonderful my life is and deliberately ignore the other 99 problems that I have?”

I’m not saying to ignore all of the hardships and problems you have, but realize that there are two different ways of looking and perceiving a bad situation.

For example, let’s say you didn’t quite get the job you’ve prepared relentlessly for, instead of seeing this as a never ending pit of shame(that you’re not good enough) and beating yourself over and over again (such a cruel cycle), see it as an opportunity.

An opportunity to learn.

First, be kind to yourself. Realize that this happens and give yourself a pat on the shoulder for working towards a goal.

Then ask yourself this, in what areas can you improve on?
Be very honest with yourself, make a list of areas that you can improve on. If you really can’t think of any, consider even sending an email to the person that had interviewed you! Ask them what could you have done better as a candidate.

Then the following thought should be,
Excellent! I can work on this and this and totally go for the interview again sometime in the future!

Before you know it, you’ll be a better person regardless if you do decide to try for the position again in the future.

Like the famous saying, “There’s always room for improvement.”

Start by thinking small,
Strive to be a better person than you were a second ago.
Second turns into minutes,
minutes turns into hours,
hours turns into days,
days turns into months,
months turns into years.

You get the point…

Before you know it, you’ll become a better person than you were last year.

Writing’s never been big for me, but hey, one post at a time right?
