I have 3 kids of my own. But they dont remember 90s. They were born much later.

As an immigrant (solo) - I've been through a lot (to put it mildly) in America too. After 90s in Russia.

I dont really think my kids understand me. They are great young ladies, smart, and well read.

But.... They did not have to fight for anything serious, and it shows.

Rather unfortunately my oldest is stuck in Moscow since the war began...

By accident. Went there to take care of some family matters and got stuck.

She changed a lot. I think she does understand me a bit better now.
