Pylon Protocol Proposes Acquisition of Glow
Dear Lunatics & Glow Community
Since inception, the ethos of Glow has always been to bring yield to the masses — heck, the word ‘yield’ is even in our domain name — and to onboard the next million users to Terra.
Recently, Pylon reached out with an idea to merge the Pylon and Glow ecosystems. In short, the proposal is to merge Glow, its core development team, and all of its products (both live and in-development) into Pylon.
What would this mean for GLOW holders and stakers? In order to align long-term incentives and join both communities, a GLOW-to-MINE token swap will be created. This would be the first token merger in Terra. We would be making history here!
Under this plan, the Glow team would join the existing Pylon Core team. Moreover, all our existing products such as Glow Lotto and the incoming Glow Creators would be integrated into the Pylon ecosystem.
We are extremely proud of the products we’ve built, the ones we’ve yet to launch, and most of all, we are proud of the Community that supports us each and every day. Without you, Glow is not what it is today.
We have discussed extensively among the team, and see this as an incredible opportunity to boost Glow’s vision of bringing DeFi into the mainstream. The Pylon Protocol team shares our ambitious vision, and together we come one step closer to realizing it. That being said, we want to hear from you! ## Next Steps
In order to become official, the proposal will be placed in front of the Pylon Community (you can view their proposal in full here) and discussed in the forums over a period of seven days from April 15 to April 22. Following these discussions the proposal will be put to a vote on April 22, 2022. Should the vote pass and receive the blessing of the Glow community, the merge will be official!
