3 Ideas for Best Album Lists Online

Saint Louis’ KDHX has taken the time to collect top tens of the year so far from many of their programs, each one with its own style and taste. Preparing for my road trip to Michigan, I made a few playlists from my favorite programs and pulled down offline copies for those inevitable no service spots along the way.

Some ideas from this:

  • These lists could recruit new fans. It could be made easier by including program descriptions with host info.
  • Simple web pages, playlists or recorded programs could extend this content. This could be a page of YouTube links, a link to streaming service playlists, or a recorded podcast with previews of songs and commentary.
  • Extending the new connection with new fans, DJs could create weekly/monthly email lists (using a low friction service like Tiny Letter) to push out content like this outside of their program.
