The Trump Shills.

A quick rundown of the most embarrassing, and most visible Trump shills in what used to be the conservative media. Some of these people I used to respect (Laura Ingraham, Jeffrey Lord) while others have always been pretty terrible (Sean Hannity, Eric Bolling).

#1. Sean Hannity , Fox News host/ “conservative” radio talker — The only thing worse than a Trump shill, is a Trump shill who feigns neuturality and insists that he is not in fact a Trump shill. Hannity has been the worst offender by far.

#2. Eric Bolling, Fox News Channel host: I admittedly don’t watch a lot of Fox News, but I do read the media websites like Mediate, and follow Bolling’s twitter. And Mr. Bolling has been an ardent supporter of Trump’s for quite some time. He’s never struck me as particularly bright or insightful, so it did not come as a surprise.

#3. Laura Ingraham, Fox News contributor, “conservative” radio talker: While I’ve never agreed with Laura on everything, I used to respect her intellect. She’s obviously a pretty bright person, which makes her Trump support a bit baffling. But it’s not totally surprising as she’s always been more on the paleo conservative side of a lot of issues. Disappointing nonetheless.

#4. Michael Savage, talk radio host: Another guy who is far from dumb, who supports the unserious buffoon Trump. Savage has always been kind of an odd ball in conservative radio. It’s hard to tell whether it’s a schtick to carve out a niche to the right of the mainstream conservative hosts like Limbaugh, or sincere. Savage has always been an immigration hawk so his support for Trump is not surprising.

#5. Jeffrey Lord, CNN host, journalist: I had previously respected as a serious thinker and writer, though a bit odd at times. But he’s been shilling for Trump on CNN’s otherwise decent election coverage. As a former Reagan administration official, he’s obviously betrayed the Reagan legacy but throwing his support behind the cheeto faced totalitarian.
