Small introduction
We are «The Chocomists», our brand name is “El Mejor” and we are chocolate makers. Our fundamental idea is to make chocolate a healthy and delicious snack for customers by using raw cocoa bean and its nutritional components.
Understanding the experiences-Empathizing
THE HEALTHY EATER: «I always tried to keep a balance diet and healthy lifestyle. But it was always very difficult to restrain myself from eating chocolate treats. So, is it possible to find a chocolate that doesn’t keep me away from my holistic lifestyle?»
THE VEGAN: «The last 2 years I am on a vegan, cruelty free diet. I don’t consume any dairy, meat, eggs, fish, or any other type of animal protein. I enjoy chocolate and sweet generally but, it is very hard for me to find products that are tasty and at the same time they don’t contain milk, eggs, or refined sugar.»
MY DOCTOR DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO: «Hi, I’m Pelopidas and I am 60 years old. I suffer from diabetes. Chocolate was always my weakness, but since I was diagnosed with diabetes, I’m not allowed anymore to consume chocolate in sugar or dairy.»
Problem Statement
Usually chocolate companies or startups produce chocolate bars that reach out only a specific consumer category. Our goal is to launch new chocolate bar products, based on the raw cocoa bean that will also satisfy the most demanding consumers:
- Vegan and plant based people
- Diabetics and people with healthy issues
- Healthy eaters
Possible solutions
THE HEALTHY EATER: For such consumers, our company offers a wide variety of chocolates that are dairy-free, gluten-free and do not contain refined sugars. As sugar substitute, we use raw, organic, coconut sugar.
THE VEGAN: We offer a vegan friendly range of products. Those products are dairy free, gluten-free, and also sweetened with raw, organic, coconut sugar.
MY DOCTOR DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO: For every person, who is not allowed, for medical reasons, to eat chocolate whenever he wants, we provide sugar-free chocolates sweetened with stevia. These chocolate bars are also low fat.
Thinking outside the box
We collected some new, different ideas and we want to present you the best of those:
«El Mejor café»
Except the chocolate bars, we have other ideas for nutritional treats. So, we decided to provide them at “El Mejor café”, our laboratory that also works as a café for treat innovations. You will find there smoothies, ice creams and other treats that are always based on the raw cocoa bean and other innovative super-foods such as black sapote (a fruit that tastes like chocolate).
«Love from the first sight»
We believe that the first impression is really important! So, with the packaging of our chocolate, it is sure that you will fall in love from the very first sight. Every chocolate bar category has its own customizing theme. For example, chocolate bars for vegan consumers would have the form of fruit.
«Fortune chocolate»
By offering our chocolate, we want to offer you not only a tasty snack, but an experience. So, in every chocolate you will find a motivational quote for healthy life!
