The debt of gratitude.

How can you give thanks to someone who made your brand new shoes?

It’s simple, you can’t. Once you pay for your goods there’s no way to give thanks to the people who made it. It’s a wall, that separate us. This is why there is so little gratitude in our world.

Gratitude means respect, respect means sustainability, responsibility, and collaboration. Let’s forget about the exchange value of the things which doesn’t exist in reality and think about the absolute value in terms of being part of the oneness. To give thanks is a way for us to be aware of that fact, in a holistic way.

Sadly nobody teaches us this in our formal education, we know about money that helps us to exchange goods and services, but it’s a little part of the equation.

The world is in debt of gratitude, so try to be grateful, just giving thanks as much as you can, it will give us peace and who knows maybe we can restore our world in terms of collaboration, dignity, and respect for all the sentient beings.

Now think about the shoes that you are using right now and the thousand of lives which design, extracts the materials, build and transport them. Some of them underpaid, some in wealthy countries and some in poor ones. Enjoy it gratefully and keep in mind the effort made by a lot of people, if you think in this way you will really enjoy your shoes, and you’ll be aware of the costs of them, the objective cost in effort for people and the planet. Enjoy your reality.
