Senator Flake’s “town hall” meeting was an exercise in bold re-statement of ancient clichés, a superb exhibition of the use and abuse of logical non-sequiturs to avoid giving answers to questions, and a sad but textbook lesson in opportunities missed through the failure to critically examine faulty premises. Alas, this is democracy today.
