Geoff, I like what you are trying to accomplish with this alternative process. But I think the stage-gate process was first developed to at least partially address the challenge of making sure that innovations don’t head off in directions that are out of touch with market realities (i.e., keeping technology developers from camping out in a technology sandbox). Could you comment on how the process you are describing here manages the shift in focus over time from technical feasibility, to producibility, to marketing strategy?
