Presidential Election

This election has honestly made a lot of people go crazy. I heard on 96.5 fm radio that a girl and her boyfriend broke up. They were having troubles before but their choices in president are what set it over the edge. That is crazy and so unnecessary. I honestly am not surprised with the end result. Deep down I knew that Donald Trump was going to be president. Now am I not saying I support or I am against him, but I don’t think it will be horrible. He has some great ideas for this country and as a daughter and girlfriend for, two people who are considered blue collar workers, it’s great we have a republican. What bothers me the most is how people are ending relationship and friendships over something so silly. Yes, electing the president of the united states is a huge thing and it is our right to vote for our leader. But, ending a relationship over this political difference is ignorant and just insane. People shouldn’t let a presidential election come between a relationship. If there were problems before the election that’s fine, but don’t use the election as an excuse to end things, that’s just pathetic. I also don’t get why people are bashing others on social media for speaking their mind and giving their opinion. It is our right to speak freely about anything to a certain extent. People are allowed to give their own opinion and you shouldn’t change their opinion. Not everyone will agree with each other and everyone’s opinions are different, so we all have to deal with it. Also, the citizens of this country need to calm down because things are not going to drastically change. We woke up the day after the election and our lives didn’t change. Just because he has ideas doesn’t mean congress is going to pass it and go through with it. Congress gives the go or no go. Everything is going to be okay and everyone just needs to relax. I don’t think that things are going to drastically change and that there is no need to recount votes in some states. Yes, a lot of people are upset about our new leader, but as a country we should stand strong together and be able to handle anything that comes our way. Just be happy that we get to wake up to freedom everyday, not everyone gets that choice.
