Below are various cladding systems with integrated insulation properties:

Insulated Metal Panels (IMPs)

Typical R-Value = varies up to R-8.5 per inch

Superior in quality and durability, insulated metal wall panels offer superior R-values while providing a modern look for your building. Whether the project requires acoustical, structural, or fire rated insulated panels, insulated metal wall panels are the perfect solution to create and maintain a high performance building envelope.

Exterior Insulation Finishing System (EFIS)

Typical R-Value = R-4 to R-5.6 per inch

According to the definitions of the International Building Code and ASTM International, an Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) is a nonload bearing, exterior wall cladding system that consists of an insulation board attached either adhesively or mechanically, or both, to the substrate; an integrally reinforced base coat; and a textured protective finish coat.

Structural Concrete Insulated Panels (SCIP)

Typical R-Value = R-11 to R-41 per inch

A SCIP (Structural Concrete Insulating Panel) is a prefabricated panel. This extremely strong structural product consists of a super-insulated core of rigid expanded polystyrene sandwiched between two-engineered sheets of various gauged steel welded wire fabric mesh. To complete the panel form process a galvanized steel truss wire is pierced completely through, or placed in the polystyrene core at off set angles for superior strength and welded or tied to each of the outer layer sheets of steel welded wire fabric mesh. Once these three elements are joined by state of the art manufacturing equipment, you end up with a lightweight panel that due to their characteristics makes them one of the strongest building materials you can find.

Kalwall

Typical R-Value= R-20 Lumira® 2–3/4″ thick panels

Kalwall is the most highly insulating, diffuse light-transmitting, structural sandwich panel in the world. While there are other translucent products on the market, none can match Kalwall’s ability to provide unparalleled light quality and superior thermal performance at a reasonable cost. In the sixty years that we have worked with lightweight, composites technologies, we have perfected this unique fenestration technology that harvests balanced, natural daylight while providing the ultimate in energy efficiency. Lightweight, shatterproof, and rapidly installed, Kalwall has unrivaled structural integrity that is far superior in performance and value to products that superficially may appear similar. Kalwall can be all or part of the walls or roof of any building or be an entire freestanding structure.

Wall systems include translucent panel wall applications that is for a single story or less and does not integrate fixed or operable glazing units or louvers. Structural sandwich panels, up to 5′ x 20′, may be either flat or curved. Panels come in 2–3/4″ and 4″ thicknesses, and may be customized to accommodate a variety of head and sill conditions.

InsulStone

Typical R-Value= R-6, R-11, and R-18

InsulStone is a pre-engineered, insulated panel system with zero flame spread and an interlocking tongue and groove connector. It can be installed with screws or staples faster and easier than traditional lathe and mortar masonry. InsulStone is composed of a high density EPS foam panel with a manufactured or cast stone laminated to the energy efficient, flame resistant, interlocking panel and meets the new continuous insulation requirements for siding applications. This cladding is faster, easier, cost efficient and can be installed in most any weather conditions. Several options include Stone, ceramic and cementitous fiber boards laminated to the interlocking foam panel. Other applications include manufactured home skirting and exterior wall coverings.
