3 Tips to Help You Finish What You’ve Started

You’ve just started a project and you’re full of energy and excitement. After weeks and months of working on it, you stop. Why bother moving forward since you have already done so much. Why not take a break right? NO!

Most times, we are tempted to celebrate how much we’ve accomplished without actually completing the project. Maybe you don’t know how to go about finishing it, we’re here to help.

Tip #1 STOP MAKING EXCUSES

Every time you make an excuse you continue to neglect your work and push yourself away from your achievements. When something is truly important to you, you’ll find a way to make it happen.

Tip #2 TAKE IT A DAY AT A TIME

Some projects are larger than others. You don’t have to do everything all at once. Maybe you set out to write a book. How about you write several pages one day and challenge yourself to write more the next day until the book is completed.

Tip #3 NEVER LOSE SIGHT OF WHY YOU STARTED

Why are you writing the book? Why are you starting a business or nonprofit organization? It would be sad to know that your “WHY” is to make an impact in the lives of others, but your procrastination and excuses kept you from doing it. God always finishes what he starts, if he lives in you, why can’t you do it?

“He who began a good work in you will complete it”. – Philippians 1:6
