“While You Wait”

Its hard to wait around for something you know might not happen at the nick of time, but its even harder to give up when its what you desperately need.

Every time we come before the Lord. to ask for stuff in prayers , He will always answer but the timing from when we ask and when we get what we ask for, seems frustrating.

In reality His ways are not our ways and we can hardly believe some times that his thoughts for us are thoughts of good.

Over time and from study, I have learnt that all He truly wants us to learn while we wait is have faith and believe in Him.

Whilst most of us are in a hurry, it seems God is usually not in a hurry to do what ever we ask. He has a greater good in view, he wants to men believe in Him and in prayers they offer to Him.

In the thoughts of men, the best time to have gone to Bethany was when Lazarus was still alive but he waited four days and after he heard Lazarus was dead he said to his disciples

“Lazarus died. And I am glad for your sakes that I wasn’t there. You’re about to be given new grounds for believing. Now let’s go to him.”

If you were Mary or Martha, and Jesus was your friend not just on social media but a friend closer than a brother whom. you had faith in, what would you do? Keep believing in Him?

God told Noah that there would be a flood, but He also chose to wait 120 years before He sent it.

120 years? That’s longer than anyone lives today! Imagine if you had to wait for a promise from your father for more than a century. Noah knew His God and held on to His words. Whilst he waited, he believed the flood was on the way.

Well the day finally came , they got on the ark, they waited another week before the rain started.

Noah and his family had amazing patience to wait on the Lord not because he was born humble but because he knew that God ALWAYS keeps His promises, and God’s timing is perfect so he BELIEVED and kept believing.

There are countless men like Abraham, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joseph, David, Daniel, and even Jesus who just assumed the body of a mortal but had all powers , had to wait three decades to manifest.

An old adage says, “When God closes a door, he opens a window.”

I hate to defy the words of. the old because in reality “When God closes a door, he asks you to wait before he opens a window.”

Let’s have you in the picture. When God closed a door, did he immediately open a window?

When that relationship, dream, or. job came to an end, did a new opportunity open immediately?

Most times we had to wait and in that process we spent more time praying and BELIEVING in God to open new opportunities.

Friends “While You Wait” have a firm grip on His words, keep speaking. and never stop believing it, in the nick of time new doors are opening.
