Zhiketong (ZKT), “transactional SaaS” platform specializing in luxury hotel sales and marketing services announces the closing of their Series C Round of funding with participation from Sequoia China, IDG Capital, Shunwei Capital, Lightspeed China Partners, Vision Plus Capital, and CYTS Hongqi Fund (中青旅紅奇基金). Funds raised from this round are planned to be used for technology development and market expansion.
Gobi Partners China led the Series A Round of fundraising back in 2015, which was followed by a subsequent Series B Round of RMB 110 M. “ZKT has extensive market insight into the hotels and tourism industry. Over the years, we have seen the team led by CEO Hua Liu grow and adapt very quickly to the evolving market,” says Sylvia Zhang, Senior Investment Director at Gobi Partners China.
“ZKT is recognized as a trusted service provider within the luxury hotels sector in China, where 80% of 5-star hotels in the country are already ZKT WeChat direct sales partners,” says Liu.
Founded in 2014, ZKT sets up sales channels for their hospitality partners via their own official WeChat accounts, and provides them with tailored marketing solutions. The platform is a one-stop shop that caters to their partners’ sales and marketing needs from pre- to post-sales, with the mandate to both acquire and retain customers. ZKT also provides services in operational support, advertisement planning and placement, analytics reporting etc. to optimize operational efficiency, improve service quality, and increase product exposure.
Currently, ZKT’s partners’ combined monthly transaction volume exceeds RMB 400 M, where 40% of their sales are from repeat customers. ZKT’s hospitality partners include: Ritz Carlton, St. Regis, Waldorf Astoria, Park Hyatt, The Westin, Rosewood, Intercontinental, Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Wyndham Grand, Sheraton, and more.
