How do you take your coffee?
-a study of spiritual preference
As I work with clients all over the world I find their path to evolutionary enlightenment (based on the premise that enlightenment is a journey, not a destination) becomes riddled with non-truth limitations that they’ve been taught to feel “safe” in.
True, we all have different ways we see reality and yes, we are all different in our own ways…BUT there are Universal Laws which dictate what we are truly capable of which cannot be found, not clearly anyway, in most spiritual text. There’s a massive need for revising the translations of these texts simply due to the fact that we now know much more about Universal Laws and how they are impacting our existence. But I digress…
If we all decided one day that we would like to try a new way of “drinking our coffee” it would not be the easiest task, right? I mean, how many of you LOVE your triple quad-shot frapp with 1/2 pump this and 2 pumps that? It’s like a science of caffeine creation that leaves you with nothing more than a cup full of crap, aka NO nutritional value. You see, in this system of delivery, the potential benefits of coffee, which there are quite a few, are thwarted by all the junk we clutter our cups with. THIS is how we are experiencing life when we take our perceptions of past experience and make them our current identity/reality.
Time and again, we choose experience of the past to dictate how we act or react in the present or regarding our future. And for what?!?! Some sorry ass excuse for “protection” which is seriously some B…S…, if you ask me. Of course, there was a time when I blamed others for how I reacted as if it was their fault I was feeling triggered. And yes, I would project my own insecurities or lack of trust onto someone in fear that they would do what “all the others” did to me…but that is NOT living fully, and I was NOT happy.
When we commit to making a change in our life, the tastes and combinations may not be what we are used to. Just as with perceptions of reality, we may be so stuck in a “this is the way it always has been so I’m not going to mess with it” mentality. But this limited perspective is what creates our uneasiness. THIS is the stuff that we were not supposed to just live with, it’s what our souls came here to overcome! We may not think that we’ll like the new paradigm, but it doesn’t hurt to explore. Perhaps you want a new job or would like to take up a new hobby, DO IT! The universal laws state that we attract what we think about the most which means if you wish for change but spend your time focusing on all the crap in your life, you’ll only create and attract more of it. You know what’s funny about this, we can tell a lot about a person’s inner belief system simply by how they take their coffee…
The more we fill our life and mind with the clutter of past experience, limited perceptions of reality and filter our views with universal non-truths, the less potential we are able to see in ourselves and around us. The more artificial ingredients, aka limiting beliefs or self judgements, we fill our days with the less we will be able to see our true greatness.
Universal laws show us that we are infinite, abundant and capable of ANYTHING. So why would we toxify our life with any thoughts that change this flavor? Think about it…
