A discussion about the breaking of the Internet

What’s the most worrisome to me is that NPM decided to side with Kik without any sort of legal intervention. I’m no expert on TM law, and maybe someone can correctly answer how it is supposed to work — but, was NPM under any sort of pressure to do this besides just wanting to make a company happy?

It seems to me like NPM should have said, “Not getting involved” until Kik came to NPM with a legal order to change the projects name.

Say what you will about Kik, but IMO, this reflects far more poorly upon NPM.
