My morning cup and code
Its on 1st may 2017. I wake up at 7 o’clock in the morning, prepare my usual cup of dark coffee. I quietly sit myself on the balcony as I watch dark smokes rise all over the city of Nairobi. I can’t get myself to think of anything else but of the neglect an ignorance we have had towards environmental preservation. I take a moment to pay my respects to the activist Wangari Mathae. The chilly weather goes well with my hot dark coffee so this has grown to be sort of my morning ritual. Once done with the half hour morning ritual. I get to the next stage. Catch up with my favorite TV series. Its a Monday morning so I can’t wait to figure out what sunny’s next step is on last night’s AMC’s badlands and whether Axe’s capital has increased its holdings on America’s television Billions. This is my typical morning two weeks to today.
Currently, Am sitting on my couch. My coffee turned cold and I can’t remember the last time I slept. My head aching from the struggle between thoughts trying to figure out whether to use a list or a dict for my function.
Andela has been a challenge, motivation and a call to a change in life. They say people wait for that big thing that reminds them its about time. Well this seems to be my big thing. I have learned to take time to do something and do it right not because it’s required but because that the essence of doing it at the first place. I have learnt to appreciate the count of every minute because given enough time everyone can do it, but greatness is in those that can do it in no time.
