Vote Golgi 2014!

Hello fellow organelles! I’m the Golgi Apparatus, you may know me best for synthesizing and modifying other molecules, but I’m more than meets the eye. I’m responsible for distributing molecules throughout the cell. I gather small molecules and then combine them in order to create complex molecules! You can depend on my because I rarely cause problems such as diseases unlike the lysosomes who cause Tay-Sachs disease. If elected I promise to work constantly with the rough Endoplasmic Reticulum in order to create secretory vesicles. They say I look like stacks of flattened pancakes, which works in my favor because well, who doesn’t love pancakes? Speaking of food, after eating all those yummy pancakes you have to be able to digest them. My friends the ribosomes, found in the “stacks,” contain digestive enzymes in order for the process to occur. Another good thing about me is that I can be found in any cell that has a nucleus, both plants and animals! I can make 3 types of vesicles, exocytotic, secretory, and lysosomal! Talk about importance!
