6 tips tips with a working professional

I chose to meet Engineer Shahriyar Sahib (AM at Orient) for my project assigned by Amal to share with him the six tips by Sohail Rizvi Sahib ( HR professional Allied Bank) and to seek his gaudiness regarding these tips. So the tip are

Tip 1: Put your time in: Everyone starts out doing grunt work till trust is proven

Tip 2: Don’t talk badly about the company or about your boss

Tip 3: Take control of your relationship with your boss and team members

Tip 4: Find a mentor and manage the relationship strategically

Tip 5: Join a professional body and build your network

Tip 6: Embrace change and reflect on what you are learning daily

These tips are useful to maximize career on job and Shahriyar Sahib is in the field for more than 2 years so he is best for the suggestion. I talked to him in person and when I share these tips with him, he was surprised and asked me where did you learn that I told him about Amal and he appreciate their work for youth of Pakistan. He listen to these tips one by one and told me that everyone does not matter belong to which field has to do grunt work in start of job. He told me that he even bring coffee for his supervisor during first 2 weeks of his job but then he realized that it was for teaching him how to behave with your coffee delivery boy like people as they are always doing these things for us. Also he says that never speak bad words on back of your supervisor, he give me some examples, that how he talked bad about his Manager and the next day his department was changed. He said that he was lucky that manage did not fire him. He said that having a mentor on job is like having an extra life line. In case of any technical problem your mentor will be there for you and he always feel pleasure to help you. He also give me the name of some professional bodies to join like PEC, PSME and CSME to join. This session was worth for learning and I learned lot from him. At the end he wishes me for my future.
