En camino…

Here we go! We’re sitting at MCO, passing time on our beloved electronic devices before we lose the ability to connect so very easily. Today has been quite a breeze so far, and I’m praying the trip continues that way! All of our driving travel times went way faster than expected (our house to Esteyci’s, Esteyci’s house to the friend’s who is watching our car, that friend’s house to the airport), and of course security was a breeze. I could have actually slept in this morning. But I have also enjoyed not being rushed at all.

Just chillin’ (because if we had waited, security would have taken forever. But since we didn’t, it went quick as a snap)

We fly out at 5:30pm for Lima, and will spend the night there before flying to Juliaca and finally Cusco tomorrow morning. I believe we’ll arrive there around 2pm. We’ll take it easy that afternoon, get to our apartment, maybe have a stroll around and then I’m SO excited for a good Peruvian meal!

Since the air is so thin I don’t plan to do anything more. We’ll just chill out and try to get used to it. Fingers crossed nobody gets too sick from it (last trip it got me down for a week!). Then Tuesday morning we’ll go see the language school director that’s been my contact, and see how quickly we can get these donations to the orphanage.

Hopefully this apartment we’re renting has wifi, but if not, I’ll at least be in touch within a few days. Hasta luego!
