New Nations that was formed after the dissolution of Soviet Union

Soviet Union dominated the World for 70 years where it was considered as a major rival of United States in the Cold War.After the end of Second World War Capitalism Bloc was headed by United States of America and Communist block was headed by Soviet Union.There is some reasons why USSR collpased:

1.Crisis in the Socialist Bloc

Collapse of the Soviet Bloc in 1989

People in Eastern Europe started protesting against the Governemnts.Communist Governments in the World started collapsing.

2.The Fall of Berlin Wall

Reunification of Germany after the collapse of Berlin Wall

Germany was divided after the Second World War among the Socialist USSR and Capitalist Western Regimes. The Fall of Berlin Wall became a main reason for the disintegration of USSR.

3.Economic and Political Reforms in USSR

USSR President Mikhail Gorbachev

Gorbachev identified the economic and problems of the USSR,and started a series of reforms,with intentions of reviving the economy that developed lot of opposition where a coup was encouraged.

4.Coup:1991 August Coup

The Coup of 1991

The Coup of 1991 was carried by the Communist Hardliner’s in order to restore the Communist wanted to thwart Gorbachev’s reform agenda.

5.Power shift from Soviet Center to Republics

Countries razed by USSR

Republics like Russia, Ukraine, Belarus emerged powerful. They declared that the soviet union was disbanded.
