IMM 280: Chapter 2- The Basics.

The reading for 280 is the mindset of a designer working with clients working for the benefit of the client but really the benefit of the ending product. A bunch of the talk referred to several research methods to analyze data and prepare for working on a project. This seemed natural when reading about it but just giving a name to describe the type of research being done.

What was refreshing though was seeing the authors clap back to common push backs about research/time/etc which was nice to read. I do normally fail to be a bit more on the assertive end of pushing my vision but when you have data to work with and back up. There’s no reason not to and how it becomes the job of the designer to back up your methods to attack the problem.
